Hello! My game project group have made loads of levels scenes and they wanted me to do some

overpaint to them. So here are one of them I did. First they modell them in 3d and render out a picture with alpha channel with textures too. Then later it transfer to photoshop there I overpaint theme to give them a final touch.

Here it is... and note that I did not focus on the background, my main aim was to make him as professional as possible to comic style. Here is a step by step of how I approached to it, from first rough sketch, to more refined details.

Random Sketches

Hello everyone!,

just thought i'd post some sketches here, and practice on values :)

sidenote: The assassin girl is pencil drawing, the other two were done digitally with a wacom tablet. The Assassin girl was inspired from Guild Wars assassin class, but with my own interpretation. The second drawing is inspired from the Beauty and the Beast, lol and last is of course the famous sci-fi serpent.

I'll post more stuff soon! :)

this took quite a while to do couple hours or so

just some random creature i created giving it the name

night crawler , probably due to the fact it has no eyes.

threw in a couple of veins, textured the skin, to bing it more to life.

i mainly tried focusing on getting the value right.

There are so many ways to do things. I hope I can also learn to work with layers.. because this fanart has like 30 layers...

Nasty nick-nacks!

Greetings everyone.
I've been following this community for some time but have only now decided to join. I go by the nick Gormash, and I hope I can be an asset to the community.

Here's my latest work. Any and all critizism will be welcommed with open arms.



Yes, I know it's a comic and not a regular picture/painting, but I still want to hear what you have to say about my technique.

By the way, it's made with a Graphire 4 tablet using Photoshop CS2, and took me about 9 hours from conscept sketches to the finished product.

Here are some more sketches I did with a black pen. For the "Maggot" one I didn't draw anything with the pencil, plus that I had nothing planned. Mistakes had to be changed according with the drawing!

this tat goes on the arm like a sleeve.
