Well here is my first attempt for clouds:
It's done with a soft-edge round brush. I found that sticking with a larger one
works better. Finishing the edges with a large eraser also works well.

I don't know if you made these clouds for solving my "problem", in that case these clouds looks a little more cartoony than in the tutorial you showed us..

Well it was a first attempt.
But I agree they look way more cartoony than in the tutorial.
For some reason thats the stuff I manage to get out most of the time...
