God of gods

very subtle changes but i felt like i needed to make the skin texture and eyes a bit better so yea :) good warm up before i start my frist landscape (oh god) :P

To add background?

I'm pretty pleased with the result of this one - I can;t believe the difference in studying value and using references...

Anyway, some how I feel without the back ground (first pic) it looks alot more realistic and has more depth...

But adding in a dark background ( and I must add this background in - I don't want an incomplete picture) - seems to make it look flat... and doesn't look as good....or is it just me? I'm very confused. Sorry for the sudden post.

Happy Birthday Mother~ I paint nightscapes

Hello, I'd like to say that I have been posting here for a while - under the name "Neovirtu" this is my main identity, so I know some of you already! Anyway - here's a painting I did for my mother - she wanted this for her birthday...

I'm so disappointed that I spent so much time on it~ I've done better in less time. Anyway, I had to change the hue of the sea..so it fits... Anyway - feedback is apprecieted..

I printed this out on 44cm x 22cm and framed it - I have a spare print too (this isn't an ad sale btw haha)

Blue Man SpeedPaint Step By Step

Hi everybody, I'll start off saying that I'm sorry for snubbing any of you who commented on my last post. Technology has been a real bitch to me these past few days, giving me a good deal of frustration. I'd also like to point out that I'm not a Satanist nor a member of the Black Church, they wouldn't except my application (kidding! :D)
While being in this nasty mood, I remembered a while ago on this blog Luca asked me if I would do a Step by Step, and today I've finally decided to take him up on his offer. This is a little speedpaint that took about an hour to paint and assemble, and with the little camera tool I was able to take screenshots of the various layers that I used.
I hope you find this insightful.

Ironman

Long time ago I remained IMPRESSED with Xia's speed painting of Ironman. That day I said to myself, "This is the level I want to get!!". Although I'm still on my way, after a year, now I watched again Ironman, then started this one. I did it in less then two hours. I will work on a video process of it.
