I apologize for such a sudden (and incomplete post) ...but how do you paint the sea? I've been using reference for the sea in this picture (only the left half) and I still can't get it too look good - I know the reflection isn't in - but I want to leave that till last, any ideas, tips?

Good work... what I suggest you is to take some time watching or better say "observing" the sea and the reflection and the movement of light on the real sea. Once I read that John Singer Sargent (one of my favorite old masters) took one whole year studying how light reflects on the sea. He took one whole year studying water reflection and color.
