Stirge

Here's a little doodle, I color using my brushes. It's a stirge from the Dungeon and dragons game. These stranges birds attacks theirs preys to suck their blood.

Face Constructed

Going through the wonderful tutorials. Learning how to go from pencil to photoshop is not very easy but im getting good results as I learn the tools.

Here is my first real digital drawing from my wacom. Still have a lot to learn to get that extra realism I see in other artists drawing, but im happy with my initial results.

Hyle

been super busy since the wonder-con, doing samples for the Marvel talent scout I met at the con, so I havn't been digi painting, but I just brushed the dust off my intuos 4 and sketched this thing today, to help me get back into the groove. Don't ask me what it is, I just kinda sketched the first thing that popped into my head, hopefully I'll finish it by tonight.

Re design or re create one or all of the PowerPuff Girls into a Gladiator!  They are all grown up now too so try to put them all in a semi-realistic rendition.  Put her into a well thought out armor design in action or relax pose to fit the fantasy world (could also be dark and gritty, up to you, use your imagination.  Final piece can be color or black and white render, just do the best you can do.

Just wondered why all the comments disappeared.

so i started sketching with a weight lifting glove on and using the overlay tool primarily. does it make a diff in my style?

Kid Series - Shading evolution

My typical drawings are of female portraits. I will share more of these of the next couple weeks. But I have been asked on occasion to draw children. These are from different times and my shading style has changed from using the pencil tip to using graphite with a different painters brushes. This dry brush technique is extrememly time consuming but in the last drawing you can see how realistic the shading can get. The years of the drawings are 05, 09 ,10.

My busy schedule only gives me a few time a year where I can focus on drawing. So my progress is consistent but slow.
