Diaries of a DiveMaster V
Hurray and cheers for "Friday's". (a bar in Port Galib with working wireless)
Last week I was left in the dark with no internet because the
wireless in the hotels around the bay didn't work...
Anyway I now I have internet again and with it of course
comes the liberty to post an other few photo's of paradise.
Since I liked the last pictures I made of the place around
the staff house I went out again to make some more, here are a few:
This one I made at one of the pools of the hotels:
And for the wildlife:
A photo of the coral and some fish:
And for those of you who like them, some clownfish:

Process
Process:
- find some nice images, take them into Photoshop, lay them on top of each other. Change opacity and eventually the layer's blending mode. Flatten and use auto contrast. (scott robertson, andrew jones, craig mullins & more)
- find shapes sampling colors from the image. Sketch it out. Rotated image for a more dynamic composition.
- Continue.
- Added foreground element and the sheep.
- Changed sky. Gradient maps, overlay layers, soft light layers, photo filter, color/value adjstments.
- Final touchup. unsharp mask, grain.
Productive Day ^^
Today was productive. Got a lot of work done...
These four and the one in my last post are images based off the Moses epic. CA.org's EOW #100.
The first two was started a while back, a week or so.
Temple of Ra:
Pharaoh's Palace:
The Promised Land:
The Burning Bush:
Another one :D
Took me a little more than an hour or something. I started it yesterday night and finished it now. This is fun!

Hit the sheets Tabby!

Again the green goddess graces the blog. This took awhile to finish, about 10 hours total, but in the back of my mind, I feel I haven't finished her yet. Oh by the way, Tabby started out as a sketch on the Nintendo NS (as you can see the example above). What should've done is create values ruffs to speed up development, I jumped the gun. Her tattoos are the pacman symbol. near the small of her back is the "Leo" birth rune, and on her arm is a tat I just made up.

Tiger Head - Watercolors
Here is a drawing I've been doing on paper using watercolors. Below is the first layer of color. It's not finished yet, I have to add some background and as you can see I've already sketched another tiger next to it... I'll have to color it!

Hope you like it!
Peace!

NDS Monsters
These creatures are created using the Nintendo DS. Using a homebrew program called "Colors". It's a great program to use for sketching and it's free! I highly recommend getting a NDS just to use it as a affordable digital sketchbook, which cost 129.99 or a used one for 100 bucks or less. You'll also need a R4 card that cost 20 bucks or get a kit that cost 40-50 bucks. Just google it up to find more info.
The first panel, starting on the left is called "Speak No Evil", on the upper right: Old Pah, below it: "Shrimp", and the bottom left: "Wurm". Each monster took about a 30 minutes to speed paint.
