Recently I've been doing some research to profile as a
freelance Illustrator. I've found some sites that some
of you might want to take a look at also.

Elance
This is one of the most popular sites to find creative
talent. Only for when your really serious.

Linkedin
Call if the Facebook for professionals. Linkedin is a
networking site for anything professional.

Behance
Great site if you want to display your work to a large
audience. Specially if you don't have a portfolio jet.

And of course Facebook can also be a very useful tool to
promote your self and you work. Having a blog or Twitter will
also add to your reputation.
